In this episode of the PRODUCTIVITYIST PODCAST with Mike Vardy, Philip discusses letting go, alignment, consumption of information, and authenticity … and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Enjoy… If you believe there are others that should hear this message, feel share and pass it along. Highlights from this episode include: The mindset that puts money on a pedestal, the freedom people think it provides, and how that doesn’t equate to peace of mind, sense of fulfillment and purpose (2:51). How long it took him to realize that what he was chasing was out of alignment with who he really was (3:44). How “busy-ness” and chaos indicates an underlying pain, how staying busy is just a rationalization of the feeling of disconnection, and how society evolved such that busy became socially acceptable (4:00). Indicators and manifestations of a life that is not aligned (5:20). The problem with people consuming so many how-to-guides and information instead of trusting their internal wisdom, gut, and intuition (8:57; 12:10). His insights on retreats and conferences, and finding those that actually resonate with an individual in a way that can serve them emotionally and intellectually (14:04). The film he put together titled Give & Grow (15:50), his definition of what gifts are vs. talents (16:26), what drove him to create a film, and why he used this specific medium (17:33). The two core things human beings want to do (16:47). Strategies to let go on an emotional level and what things that we carry deep down end up sabotaging ourselves (19:54). How being aligned is a human possibility that creates fluency making things easier, instead of thinking that life must be hard and hard work is necessary (21:14). His thoughts on minimalism as not merely letting go of material things but is deeply rooted in alignment and emotions (24:02). The overwhelming expectation for perfection, productivity, and success people are subjected upon – which may not necessarily be their personal truth but a reflection of their family’s, friend’s, or society’s expectations (25:25). His thoughts on consumption of information – whether online or offline and how to move from mere information to knowledge, wisdom, and awareness (28:38). How he spent a huge chunk of his life suppressing his real self (30:40). His advice on how everyone should deal with life...

Why is it we’re so quick to focus and complement others on their achievements, yet often struggle to recognize our own? We tend to focus on other’s achievements and often acknowledge their courage for the execution. But these are just the end results. The real courage came way earlier on in the process. In this video, Philip discusses the often overlooked moment where vision is met with courage, and explores the potential cost of focusing too much on the end result and not honoring the ability to question the present.       Please share this video if you like it!  ...

I was recently part of an audience in Zurich where we were asked to write a short paragraph capturing how we would like to be remembered. What emerged instantly for me was how I’d be remembered through my kid’s eyes. “My Dad cared deeply for humanity and created a relentless mission to help people Understand Their Story, Uncover Their Gift and Impact the World. He loved me and I loved him.” I believe every human being has a basic instinct to help each other out. I’ve witnessed this in every culture, in every corner of the globe I’ve traveled to, without exception. As a company, we believe we’re meant for something bigger than ourselves. That’s why we’re embracing our mission to support and grow those interested in positively impacting the world. This means we regularly live out of our comfort zones, stretch ourselves every day, and are extremely open to evolving and letting go of the aspects of our business that don’t help us serve bettering humanity. We fully believe there’s a higher version of our company waiting to be uncovered, and while we’re happy to take pause and honor some of our recent accomplishments by sharing them with you, rest assured we have zero intentions of resting on our laurels. That said, here’s a quick look at what happened in our company in 2016, and what’s on the horizon for our future. 2016 Highlights   With your help, our Believe in YOUTH initiative managed to successfully raise 140% of our intended financial goal needed to build a safe home for enslaved children from an illegal gold mine camp in Peru. We also, funded the construction of an on-site bakery to ensure the orphanage will be self-sustaining and the children will learn marketable skills. We hosted the World Premiere of Give & Grow in Toronto last month and officially released the film worldwide on November 24th. In two short weeks, the Give & Grow message has reached 13 different countries, and the DVD’s sold out (we’ve since restocked). We’re proud of the response to the film so far and are excited to see what the future holds. As a follow-up workshop to the film, we also developed a 10-hour series of in-depth video conversations and exercises designed to help you uncover, understand, and unleash your gift on the world. I’m always humbled when invited to speak on stage or be interviewed, as this is what allows me to reach new audiences and hopefully stir some new souls. This year I was fortunate enough to spread my message all over the globe – From MastermindTalks in California, Archangel Summit in...
